South Valley University Team Wins Third Place In The Egyptian Innovation Bank Competitions.


Prof. Youssef Gharbawy, President of the University, announced that a team from Faculty of Agriculture won third place in the competition of the Egyptian Innovation Bank organized by the Academy of Scientific Research.

the team included Dr. Eman Mohamed Mamdouh, head of the Department of Food and Dairy Industries, Dr. Zainab Fawzy, a lecturer at the Department of Horticulture, and Dr. Naglaa Abdel-Sabour, a lecturer at the Department of Food Industries at the Faculty of Agriculture.

Dr. Eman Mamdouh indicated that the work team participated in a research challenge (economic manufacturing of fats free of hydrogenated oils at the lowest cost) with the aim of encouraging the adoption of healthy practices and then improving the health and safety of the Egyptian community.

 This  challenge was launched by The Academy of Scientific Research & Technology (ASRT) and a food company last May Through the governmental platform (Egyptian Innovation Bank) To produce vegetable fats free of hydrogenation at the lowest cost, based on scientific research and food technology methods.
