The South Valley University Council held its latest session at the university headquarters in Qena, chaired by Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of the University. During the session, the council approved renaming South Valley University to “Qena University” and South Valley Private University to “Qena Private University”, with the decision to be presented to Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, for final approval.
Dr. Akkawy emphasized that this change reflects the university administration’s commitment to enhancing Qena’s position on the educational map and highlighting the university’s vital role in providing high-quality education, ensuring greater efficiency and impact in the region.
