Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, the university president declared that the university was prepared to receive (33,000) students for the academic year 2014/2015, where the faculties were prepared the laboratories and lecture halls as well as securing the buildings , the university gates and the university security, pointing out that the university dormitories were prepared to receive the old and new students at the university in Qena , Luxor and Hurghada, beside it was completed the enrollment of students in postgraduate at the university faculties On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Hefny Ismail, Vice President for Student Affairs added that was set the schedules, as well as completing the transfers for students and the medical checks at all faculties in Qena , Luxor and Hurghada, he also pointed out that the study at Faculty of Information and communication Technology will be begun this academic year , beside opening of several new faculties annually for the people in upper Egypt.
