Under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, for the International Exhibition and Conference for Smart Transportation “TRANSMEA 2023”, from 5 to 8 November, and under the slogan of localizing the transportation industry in Egypt, South Valley University participated in the activities of the International Exhibition and Conference for Intelligent Transport under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of the University, and Dr. Badawy Shahat, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Noby Mahdi Ghazali, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
The university participated in an electric car manufacturing project, and the participating delegation included Dr. Faraj Khudari, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Abdul Rahim Youssef Abdullah, Director of the Engineering Program at South Valley National University. The delegation also included a group of 8 students from the Faculty of Engineering from the team involved in manufacturing the electric car, SVU Racing Team. The car was manufactured by the students of the SVU Racing Team at the Faculty of Engineering. This car is characterized by being completely manufactured and assembled by the team’s students, and includes all the basic mechanical, electrical and technological parts found in electric cars. The electric car was exhibited in the corner dedicated to the innovations of Egyptian university students, and it received the acclaim of many visitors to the exhibition.
Dr. Faraj Khadari and Dr. Abdel Rahim Youssef thanked Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of the University, for all the facilities granted to the participating team so that they could participate in the exhibition and conference.
