Prof. Dr. Youssuf Gharbawy, President of the University, attended the opening of Speed-Ball World Championship in Hurghada in the presence of Prof. Dr. Badawy Shahhat, Vice President for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary, Vice President for Community Services and Environmental Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mahfouz Abdel Satar, Vice President for Hurghada Branch. With the participation of 30 teams from different countries of the world, the championship has been organized under the patronage of Minister of Youth and Sports. A group of SVU students participated in the championship by providing various means of support to the participating delegations. Prof. Gharbawy asserted the importance of students’ participation in such international activities, which help in developing their skills, enhancing their knowledge and giving them more experience. Additionally, he declared that the university folk arts team would participate in the closing ceremony on October 18, 2022.
