As part of the cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and under the direction of H.E. President El-Sisi, President of the Republic, South Valley University organized the festival of sports excellence entitled “Youth of the Universities of the New Republic” Festival for Sports Excellence, in the Olympic Village of the University.
Prof. Dr Youssef Gharbawy, President of the University, confirmed the purpose of the festival of sports excellence is to promote student activities, raise physical fitness rates among youth and encourage the practice of sports.
Prof. Dr Badawy Shahat, Vice-President of the University for Student and Educational Affairs, added that the festival includes many collective and individual activities, such as the quintet football tournament, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis and recreational games, noting that the festival will be held from 26 February to 9 March.
