On Thursday, April 10, 2025, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Okkaoui, President of South Valley University, inaugurated the “Excellence in Higher Education Teaching and Learning Project” at the university. The launch event was attended by the project team, led by Dr. Tarek El-Kashef, Director of the University’s Quality Assurance Center, along with members of the center and its affiliated units across various faculties.
Prof. Dr. Okkaoui stated that the project aims to develop a comprehensive “Master Plan” for enhancing teaching and learning resources across the university. The primary objectives of the project include:
– Conducting a comprehensive inventory of all educational and learning resources at the university, such as lecture halls, student laboratories, books, raw materials, educational supplies, consumables, and chemicals.
– Assessing both available and required resources in accordance with the quality standards for learning resources issued by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE).
– Facilitating the provision of necessary resources for faculties and academic programs to establish an engaging and supportive learning environment for students and faculty members.
-The initiative is expected to significantly enhance both self-directed learning and undergraduate teaching processes at the university.
