The University Council of South Valley University, in its last meeting held at the university’s headquarters in Qena, under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of the University, approved the new strategic plan for South Valley University for the years 2024-2028. The Council also approved the launch of a program for preparing early childhood and education teachers (in English) at the undergraduate level at the Faculty of Education, South Valley University, following the credit hour system (a special program with tuition fees).
Furthermore, the Council approved the launch of a program in prosthetics and orthotics at the Faculty of Physical Therapy at South Valley University for the application of such studies.
The Council also endorsed the nomination of Dr. Shaaban Ramadan Mohamed Harb, a professor at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science at South Valley University, for the State Prize in Basic Sciences for 2024. Additionally, the university’s budget for the fiscal year 2025/2026 was approved.
