South Valley University convoys examine 583 cases in the villages of Al-Taramsa and Al-Dahsa


Within the activities of the conference “Activating Sustainable Development Goals in Upper Egypt” at South Valley University, in cooperation with the National Youth Council, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, medical convoys were organized to the villages of Al-Taramsa in Qena and Al-Dahasa in Farshout.

Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy emphasized the interest of the university in localizing sustainable development goals and enhancing opportunities for joint cooperation with government institutions and civil society institutions in all sectors, including the health sector. Adding that the two medical convoys in the villages of Al-Taramsa and Al-Dahsa examined and provided free treatment to 583 cases in pediatric, internal medicine, gynecology and ophthalmology.

Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary indicated that the cases were as follows:

  • 220 cases of ophthalmia
  • 76 cases of gynecology diseases
  • 132 cases of pediatric
  • 155 cases of internal medicine
