Under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Akkawi, President of South Valley University, and Prof. Badawy Shehata, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the South Valley University Chess League has officially commenced.
Students from 16 different faculties are participating in the tournament, which is organized by the Social Activities Department of the General Administration for Student Welfare.
The organizing and refereeing committee includes Mohamed Walid Ahmed Hassan, Mohamed Haggagy Selim, Bahi El-Din Mohamed Ahmed, and Abdel Sabour Abdel Hafiz Mohamed.
The event aims to enhance students’ strategic thinking and competitive spirit while fostering a culture of sportsmanship and intellectual engagement.
