Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, President of the University, witnessed the final day of Simulation Model of Egyptian Universities that was held for the first time at the universities and lasted for 8 weeks from 19/3/2017 to 11/5/2017 in the presence of Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Khodary. According to Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, the model’s objective was training and preparing young academic staff for leadership. He also illustrated the importance of such model in preparing leaders who are able to take responsibility as a result of success achieved by Presidential Leadership Program under the auspices of President of the Republic Abdel Fattah Al Sisi. He also referred to the importance of having a plane at the university in accordance with the strategic plan of higher education and the necessity of contributing all sectors, faculties and centers in it. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Khodary suggested to establish an International cooperation and knowledge exchange office because of its importance, referring to the necessity of developing the idea by encouraging the academic staff to get scholarships and international publication and projects. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nassary, Dean of Faculty of Physical Education, asserted the need of the community to activities centers to develop characters and qualify them to compete in sports competitions in all games, pointing out to the university support to these activities but the sufficient publicity lacks. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Hussein Abdel Basset, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at Faculty of Education, asserted that 18 leaders participated in the model, referring to many programs and workshops were organized to discuss law of organizing universities, executive regulations, student activities, skills of effective dialogue, creative thinking, communication skills, national security and its challenges, Protocols of the University Council and international bodies that finance projects and how to apply for it. At the end, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour distributed Certificates of Appreciation to the participants in the presence of a large number of the academic staff.
