The Faculty of Law at South Valley University organized an awareness seminar on the dangers of narcotic substances as part of the 17th Environmental Week, held by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the university from February 23 to 27, 2025. The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of the University, and supervised by Dr. Mohamed Said, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The seminar was delivered by Marwa Abdel Radi, Director of the Volunteer House at the University, with the participation of Dr. Abbas Mostafa, Coordinator of Student Activities at the Faculty, and Ahmed Salah, Director of the Youth Welfare Department at the Faculty.
It focused on identifying different types and forms of narcotic substances, their potential circulation and dangers, and the severe health, psychological, social, and economic consequences they cause. It also highlighted how these substances target different age groups, particularly university students.
