Seminar on “The Dangers of Addiction” at the Faculty of Computers and Information, South Valley University


Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Akkawi, President of South Valley University, and supervised by Dr. Mohamed Said, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and as part of the activation of the protocol between South Valley University and the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction, the Faculty of Computers and Information organized an awareness seminar on the dangers of addiction. The seminar was attended by Dr. Nahla Fathy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Mr. Mahmoud Yassin, Representative of the Fund for Combating Addiction, and Mr. Mohamed El-Kamel, Director of the University’s Environmental Projects Department.

 

The seminar discussed topics including the law on early detection of drug use, the state’s efforts to combat the spread of drugs, the harmful effects of addiction, its negative impacts on individuals and society, and the need for collective efforts to address this harmful phenomenon and its devastating consequences for the community.
