The awareness campaign on the dangers of drugs and addiction continued at South Valley University under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Akkawi, President of the University, and Dr. Mohamed Said, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development. This event was part of the activation of the protocol between South Valley University and the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine hosted an awareness seminar on the risks of addiction and substance abuse, attended by Dr. Sami Abdel-Raouf, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ashraf El-Ghannimy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Mahmoud Yassin, Representative of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction, and Mr. Mohamed El-Kamel, Director of the University’s Environmental Projects Department.
Dr. Sami Abdel-Raouf, Dean of the Faculty, highlighted the role of the family in preventing drug abuse by educating children about its dangers, avoiding violence and harshness in interactions with them, providing a peaceful family environment, boosting their self-confidence, and ensuring religious awareness.
