Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Akkawi, President of South Valley University, and Dr. Badawi Shehata, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the university’s General Administration for Student Affairs, in collaboration with the Preaching Department of Al-Azhar in Qena, organized a seminar titled “Islam’s Care for Youth”, The event was held as part of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Development” and was attended by Dr. Karima Kamal, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Mohamed Walid, Director General of the General Administration for Student Affairs.
The seminar was conducted by Sheikh Mahrous Ahmed Hussein, Director General of the Preaching and Religious Media Administration at Al-Azhar’s Preaching Department in Qena, along with Sheikh Hussein Mahmoud Ramadan, a member of the Fatwa Committee, and Sheikh Zidan Abdel Rahman.
The discussions focused on Raising awareness among youth about correcting misconceptions about Islam, combating extremist ideologies and clarifying the true essence of the religion, Highlighting the state’s efforts in building a stable and secure society and addressing intellectual invasion targeting young people and emphasizing the importance of preserving identity and the Arabic language.
