Seminar on “Breast Self-Examination” at the Faculty of Science


As part of the 17th Environmental Week activities, organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at South Valley University from February 23 to 27, 2025, a seminar titled “Breast Self-Examination” was held at the Faculty of Science.

The event took place in the presence of Dr. Gamal Abdullah Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Noha Ahmed Al-Tayeh, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The seminar was delivered by Dr. Mervat Mohamed Hassan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Nursing.

The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer, proper self-examination techniques, and preventive measures. The session emphasized the role of regular check-ups in reducing health risks and promoting overall well-being.
