I am a student with disability as a result of polio, I have secondary school certificate this year and my degrees don’t help me to join the university. Is there an exception for such cases to enter the university without the total condition?
Yes, there is a decision from the supreme council of universities give the right to people with special needs to join academic faculties without taking in consider total degrees of student after doing checkup on them, faculties are faculty of commerce, law, and arts.
When and Where is the medical examination for these students? And who is sign the medical examination?
The medical checkup is held at the Faculty of Medicine after a date is set to be seen at the beginning of the academic year and the committee will be formed under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. / Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and the membership of teaching staff at the Faculty of Medicine for medical checkup for students.
Does every student with special needs is accepted without the total condition?
Students are accepted who have a disability prevents them from collecting lessons , after the report of the condition of the competent medical committee
Does student with special needs is accepted in university residences?
Students are accepted in university residences, provided that the disability is greater than the rate of 50% and without conditions.
Are there any other assistance provided by the university for students with special needs?
The University offers a range of assistance to those students, such as the polio, hearing aids for the hearing impaired, glasses, but after bringing the medical reports from student hospital and medical administration at the university.
