
Qena University, led by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akawy, ranks first among Egyptian universities in comprehensive convoy management and Community Service, according to the Supreme Council of Universities. The university leads in social responsibility, with its Community Service Sector representing 54.95% of national environmental activities. This achievement is highlighted by 943 projects completed as of February 2026. Dr. Akawy also commended the vital role played by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector and expressed his gratitude to Dr. Mohamed Saeed, Vice President of the University for Community Service Affairs, as well as to the entire team in the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector for their tireless efforts, which have contributed significantly to realizing the Egyptian state’s vision of enhancing the role of universities in achieving national goals, where the university have implemented numerous projects and played an active role in national initiatives such as “Decent Life” and “100 Days of Health.” These activities span several governorates, including Qena, Luxor, the Red Sea, and Aswan.
