Prof. Dr. Youssef Grabawy, president of the university honored student Mona Ibrahim Mohamed, faculty of physical education, 2nd year for inventing smart glasses that help blind people better understand their surrounding . the glasses have a camera that records the surrounding things to be converted into audio that describes the records and then the user can listen to these records by a Bluetooth headset attached to the glasses , this invention helps the blind to move safely and spend their needs without assistance of any other person.
Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary, vice president for community service and environmental development affairs, Dr. Faraj Khodary, manager of the technology innovation and commercialization office at the university, dr. Rafat Shebet Alhamd, manager of the intellectual property and patent office witnessed the ceremony.
Dr. Faraj declared that this invention is a distinctive one that serves the humanity, Dr. Grabawy directed the office to bear all expenses to take out patent for the student and support this invention to see the light.
