The annual student competition (IEEE PLUS IV) in various engineering fields, including electrical, civil, and mechanical engineering, was launched under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, with the attendance of Dr. Farag Khudari, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, the President of the University, expressed his great happiness with the innovative projects presented by the students of the Faculty of Engineering. He added that these competitions aim to develop various skills among students, such as design skills, practical skills, programming, and personal skills like communication, teamwork, and creativity. This, in turn, helps enhance the capabilities and competencies of the Faculty of Engineering graduates, preparing them for the job market, contributing to development, and solving community problems.
Dr. Farag Khudari, Dean of the Faculty, mentioned that the electrical engineering competitions consist of two main parts: the “ROBOMAZE” competition, which involves designing a robot to search for a specific material inside a maze, and the design of a distribution system competition (Distribution).
