President of South Valley University Participates in the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Fulbright Program in Egypt


 

Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, participated in the event organized by the Fulbright Commission in Cairo, under the patronage and attendance of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, Mohamed Gabran, Minister of Labor, Mr. Sean Jones, Director of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Egypt, and Ambassador Hero Mustafa, U.S. Ambassador to Egypt. The event also saw the participation of leaders from the higher education sector, university presidents from across Egypt, a number of ambassadors, business figures, and Dr. Magy Nasif, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission, in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Fulbright Program in Egypt, which was founded in 1949 to promote cultural and academic exchange between Egypt and the United States. The celebration was titled “From the Lab to the Market.”
