As part of South Valley University’s efforts to enhance financial inclusion services, Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, the university president, received a delegation from Egypt Bank in Qena. The meeting was attended by Taroub Talba, Assistant Secretary of the University, Abd El-Razek Hussein, Assistant Secretary of the University, and Mohamed Abdo, responsible for electronic collections at the university. The delegation from Egypt Bank included Mr. Mohamed Abdo Al-Ahmar, Manager of the Egypt Bank Qena branch, and Aya Ahmed Abu Al-Majd, responsible for developing Nile Pioneers’ operations.
The university president discussed with the Egypt Bank delegation ways to enhance joint cooperation between the university and the bank in supporting financial inclusion mechanisms in various transactions for university affiliates. They also discussed supporting and training students from different faculties in financial inclusion, promoting financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. Additionally, they aimed to raise awareness of modern financial transaction methods, savings protection, information security, and organizing competitions and activities for all university students to promote financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
The meeting also addressed offering suitable gifts to students and staff, providing banking products and services to students such as the “Go Card” youth savings account, salary transfer cards, economic activity accounts, the Meeza card, electronic wallets, online banking, electronic payment links, and corporate deposit cards if needed, along with responding to all banking inquiries.
