Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, discussed several projects aimed at improving and upgrading the university’s infrastructure and maintenance, as well as road paving, during a meeting attended by Dr. Hussein Mohamed Maghraby, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Jamiana Dawood Youssef, Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering in Qena, and Engineer Mohamed Kamel, Director of the Engineering Administration.
During the meeting, the President reviewed plans for developing and maintaining the area surrounding the university’s administration building, optimizing the use of available spaces, and enhancing the areas around the Faculty of Physical Therapy and university dormitories. The discussion also included upgrading and improving the roads around various university buildings, developing a plan for road paving, painting buildings, and addressing the connections for some of the university’s college buildings.
The President instructed that work should be completed on some of the university gates, including those of the Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture Colleges, and also called for the study of creating an eastern gate for the university hospitals sector. He requested that multiple proposals be developed for discussion and evaluation.
