Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, continued discussions on various projects aimed at developing and enhancing the university’s infrastructure, maintenance, and road paving. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hussein Mohamed Maghraby, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Gamiana Dawood Youssef, a lecturer in the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering in Qena.
During the meeting, the President addressed the development of infrastructure, beautification, and re-planning of the area surrounding the university’s main building and the space in front of the Faculty of Media. He discussed how to optimally utilize the available spaces in both areas to create a gathering “plaza” for various student activities.
The President emphasized the importance of effectively investing available resources and taking care of green spaces. He also discussed the possibility of constructing an internal wall for the university dormitories and utilizing the spaces surrounding them. He directed that multiple proposals be developed for discussion and study regarding various infrastructure development projects at the university.
