President of South Valley University Attends the Launch of the “Be Fit” Sports Festival


Dr. Ahmed Akkawi, President of South Valley University, attended the launch of the “Be Fit” sports festival held at the university’s main indoor hall. The event is organized by the Central Administration for Sports Development at the Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with South Valley University. The festival takes place from December 16 to 19 under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports; Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; and Dr. Ahmed Akkawi, President of the University.

 

The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Badawy Shahat, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Ashraf Moussa, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education; Dr. Mahmoud Labib, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education for Education and Student Affairs; Mr. Mohamed Abdel-Sami, representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports; Mr. Mohamed Walid, General Director of the General Administration for Youth Welfare; Mr. Mohamed Moussa, Director of the Sports Activity Administration; along with faculty members, teaching assistants from the Faculty of Physical Education, the university’s sports activity administration, and several administrative leaders.

 

The festival aims to promote physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle among students, highlighting the university’s commitment to fostering sports and extracurricular activities in collaboration with national institutions.
