Bibliotheca Alexandrina organized a conference entitled “Choose your Faculty” in cooperation with SVU and Luxor governorate in Luxor for students with secondary school. Under the auspices of President of the University Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour and in the presence of Vice President for Students’ Affairs Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abul Fadal Badran, the university participated with a delegation of students from various students to give some information about the university (faculties, departments, attendance percentage and required skills in each specialization).Dr. Mohammed Badr, Governor of Luxor, asserted the importance of doing the university its duties in preparing the student and helping him to determine the appropriate options as it was the first time to organize such conferences. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abul Fadal Badran confirmed that the university has included 23 faculties in Qena, Luxor and Hurghada .Moreover ,Dr. Salah Soliman, Expert at the New Bibliotheca Alexandrina, added that the library has offered a number of programs supervised by the Center for Sustainable Development Studies in the library for young people, especially students of the university to increase the environmental awareness ,promote the concept of preventive environmental management , develop students’ abilities through the curricula and encourage them to participate effectively in their local environment .
