Minister of Tourism Mr. Yahya Rashid opened the Conference of Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development to Support Tourism in Upper Egypt in the presence of President of the University Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour who referred in his speech to the great efforts provided by the university in renewable energy field and also to Diploma in solar energy that the university has granted for graduates of scientific faculties to meet the global trend in renewable energy through cooperation with Egyptian and European universities. Additionally, he asserted that 500 acres would be allocated in Red Sea Governorate to establish Faculty of Renewable Energy and many faculties.The conference was organized under the auspices of Prime Minister and Ministers of Environment, Electricity and Energy, Antiquities , Housing, Utilities and Urban Development to support tourism.
