Governor of Red Sea Governorate Major General Ahmed Abdullah and President of the University Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour opened the 9th Festival of Speed Ball organized by SVU in cooperation with the Egyptian Speed Ball Federation with the participation of 11 public and private universities. Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, Former Minister of Local Development, has witnessed the opening and expressed his happiness at organizing that festival asserting Major General Ahmed Abdullah and Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour’s great efforts in supporting students’ activities. Major General Ahmed Abdullah greeted the participants on behalf of the government’s citizens, thanking Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour for his efforts in establishing the university branch in Hurghada and in developing Upper Egypt .Additionally, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour praised the governor for supporting the various activities and greeted the armed forces, the police and the attendees on the occasion of Sinai Liberation. He referred also to the festival message to the world that was Egypt is a country of stability and security. Moreover, Prof .Dr. Mohammed Abul Fadal Badran, Vice President for Students’ Affairs, referred to the festival objective that was activating and supporting tourism in Hurghada, thanking all the participating universities in the festival. According to what was said by President of the Egyptian Speedball Federation Mr. Amr Hussein “The next festival will witnessed participation of Foreign, Arab and African Universities to be international one”. The festival included many shows and singing by choir of Faculty of Education in Hurghada in the presence of a large number of the academic staff and students.
