Opening of the 15th Environmental Week at South Valley University


    Major General Ashraf Al-Daoudy, Governor of Qena, and Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, opened the events of the 15th environmental week, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Badawy Shahat, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Suhair Ahmed Hamdy, former Vice President of the University, Adel Ahmed Mustafa, Secretary General of the University, Deans and Vice deans of the faculties.

Dr. Youssef Gharbawy welcomed the Governor of Qena, praising the fruitful cooperation between the University and the Governorate in various development projects. He affirmed that the role of the University in the service of society is one of the most important priorities. The University offers a variety of services through community service through convoys of community service and environmental development. Expressing thanks to Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nasary, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, for organizing this event and for the various activities carried out by the sector.

Within the activities of the first day, Major General Ashraf Al-Daoudy and Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy inaugurated the University’s special units exhibition which includes a variety of products of productive projects at a price suitable for the public. They also opened the Book Fair which includes a variety of publications of by Dar Al-Maaref and the General Authority of Cultural Palaces. They also honored the winners of the ideal mother competition organized by the university, and they handed over environmental week shields to representatives of the sponsors.

The activities concluded with the afforestation camp at the Faculty of Pharmacy, where the university president planted a tree.
