As part of the national project to establish technological universities aimed at preparing graduates for the labor market through applied studies aligned with technological advancements, a meeting of the Committee for the Establishment of Qena University of Technology was held at South Valley University in Qena. The meeting was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, and Prof. Ahmed El-Gioushy, Secretary of the Technological Universities Council.
The session was chaired by Prof. Ahmed Akawy, President of South Valley University, with the participation of Prof. Mohamed Ismail, Academic Vice President of the National University; Prof. Essam Abdel Hadi, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; Prof. Essam Obeid, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed, Director of the Regional Center for Alliance and Development at the University and General Coordinator for the Establishment of Qena University of Technology; Prof. Farag Khodary, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Hussein Maghraby, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and University Engineering Advisor; Ms. Taroob Talba, University Secretary; Mr. Abdel Razek Hussein, Assistant University Secretary; Eng. Mohamed Kamel, Director General of the Engineering Department; Mr. Ahmed Hamdy, Director General of the President’s Office; Mr. Amr Fathy, Director General of Public Relations and Media; and Mr. Moayad Abdullah from the President’s Office.
