Launching the Second Phase of the “Pioneers of Egypt” Program


Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, attended a workshop titled “Achievements and Launch of the Second Phase of the Pioneers of Egypt Program.” The event was also attended by Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, along with various ministers, heads of public and private universities, and research centers.

 

The program is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and is being implemented by the American University in Cairo in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education. Its aim is to build the capacities of personnel in both the public and private sectors through opportunities for master’s degrees, post-doctoral studies, and a range of short-term training in fields that align with the national strategies and Egypt Vision 2030.

 

The focus has been on objectives related to priority sectors and critical areas for inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Egypt, including tourism, culture, and heritage; trade, transportation, and logistics; industry; and public health.
