Launch of the Second Pulmo Conference at South Valley University


South Valley University, in cooperation with the Respiratory Care Association, organized the second Pulmo conference of respiratory diseases and allergies, with the participation of more than 200 doctors from various hospitals in the governorates of South Upper Egypt, in the presence of a wide range of professors of chest diseases.

Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, stressed the importance of scientific conferences organized by the University to transfer experiences between the leading professors and young doctors, with a view to improving the medical service provided to citizens. Pointing out that the university hospitals have witnessed a major development boom during the past years, which was reflected in the volume of accurate and successful surgeries that they perform daily for patients.

Dr. Alaa Rashad, Head of the Department of Chest and Allergy Diseases and Chairman of the Scientific Conference, stated that the conference discussed and reviewed a number of important research on dyspnea, asthma, and tuberculosis in children and adults of all ages, ways to prevent and treat them.

Dr. Khaled Hussein, President of the Respiratory Care Society for Chest Diseases, explained that the conference witnessed fruitful scientific discussions about asthma in children before school and after puberty, and the importance of health education for the prevention of chest diseases. He also praised the scientific level of the research that was presented within the activities of the conference and constructive discussions and inquiries by the participating doctors.
