Launch of the 17th Environmental Week at South Valley University on Sunday, February 23


Dr. Ahmed Akkaoui, President of South Valley University, announced the launch of the 17th Environmental Week across the university’s faculties in Qena, scheduled to take place from February 23 to 27. The event is held under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khaled Abdel Halim, Governor of Qena, Dr. Ahmed Akkaoui, University President, and Dr. Mohamed Said, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

 

Dr. Akkaoui emphasized that Environmental Week aligns with the university’s commitment to social responsibility, highlighting its role as an educational institution in promoting positive environmental attitudes among students. The initiative aims to raise awareness on environmental issues and encourage students to develop sustainable scientific solutions, contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
