Under the patronage of Professor Ahmed Akawy, President of Qena University, and Professor Ashraf Mohamed Moussa, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the university has launched its interfaculty sports league for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The competitions include five-a-side football and volleyball for both male and female students. Organized by the Sports Activities Department of the General Administration for Student Welfare, the league brings together students from various faculties across the university.
Professor Ashraf Mohamed Moussa, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, noted that these activities reflect Qena University’s commitment to supporting student and sports activities, developing students’ talents and physical abilities, and encouraging them to engage in sports. He added that the initiative aims to foster a sense of belonging, cooperation, and fair competition among students from the university’s different faculties.
