Dr. Ahmed Akkawi, President of South Valley University, inaugurated the development project for the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit at Qena University Hospitals. The project was supported by 17 million Egyptian pounds from the Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development.
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Ali Abdel Rahman Gweil, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals, Dr. Hegagy Mansour, Executive Director of Qena University Hospitals, Dr. Mohamed Taj El-Din Said, Professor of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Endoscopy at the Faculty of Medicine, Mohamed Abdu, Director of Banque Misr Qena Branch, Mustafa Mubarak Hagan, Manager of Digital Transformation at Banque Misr for the Upper Egypt region, Dr. Mohamed Zain Al-Abidin, Director of the Central Qena University Hospital, Dr. Abdel Rahman Khairy, Director of the University Campus Hospital, Dr. Heba Osman, Head of the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit, as well as heads of departments, faculty members and their assistants, hospital doctors, nursing staff, and employees of the Endoscopy Unit.
This initiative is part of the ongoing collaboration between the university and Banque Misr Foundation to enhance medical services and provide state-of-the-art healthcare solutions for the community.
