First Doctoral Thesis in Audiology and Vestibular Disorders at South Valley University


Dr. Ahmed Akkawi, President of South Valley University, witnessed the defense of the doctoral thesis presented by Dr. Maha Mahmoud Khoudari, Assistant Lecturer in Audiology and Vestibular Disorders at the Faculty of Medicine in Qena.

 

The thesis addressed a highly specialized scientific topic titled “Audiological Assessment of Children with Hydrocephalus Before and After Ventriculoperitoneal Shunt Surgery”, marking a pioneering study in the field of audiology and vestibular disorders.

 

The research was conducted under the supervision of a distinguished panel of experts, including Dr. Mohamed Salama Bakr, Professor of Audiology at Assiut University; Dr. Mohamed Wael, Professor of Audiology at South Valley University; and Dr. Ali Rabie Kamel, Professor of Neurosurgery at South Valley University.

 

The supervisors’ expertise greatly enriched the research, guiding the scholar toward achieving outstanding results in this critical area of study.
