Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akawy, President of Qena University, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Moussa, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the General Administration of Student Welfare, represented by the Sports Activities Department, concluded the university’s internal inter-faculty women’s five-a-side football league for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The closing event was attended by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Labib, Dean of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, along with a number of faculty members.
The competition concluded with the Faculty of Sport Sciences team securing first place and claiming the championship title after defeating the Faculty of Commerce team 2–0 in the final match. The Faculty of Commerce team finished in second place.
The championship reflects Qena University’s commitment to supporting sports activities, encouraging female students to participate in sporting events, developing their athletic skills, and fostering teamwork, cooperation, and fair competition among students from the university’s various faculties.
