Prof. Ahmed Akawy, President of South Valley University, and Prof. Mamdouh Moawad, President of the National Research Centre, signed a cooperation protocol between the two institutions as part of efforts to strengthen and advance scientific research and knowledge exchange.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Mohamed Wael Abdel-Azim, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed, Director of the Regional Center for Alliance and Development at the University and Head of International Cooperation.
The protocol aims to enhance collaboration in scientific research and technological development, foster the exchange of academic and research expertise, and promote participation in applied research projects addressing national priorities. It also provides for the organization of joint workshops and seminars, as well as the training of researchers and students—particularly in fields linked to sustainable development and the needs of Upper Egypt’s local communities.
