The medical team of orthopedics department at the university hospital headed by Dr. Hesham Al-Refay, Head of Orthopedics Department in the university hospitals succeeded in conducting the first surgery for tuberculosis of the spine (Pott’s disease) With the help of thoracic surgery team and anesthesiology department, where the patient was suffering from tuberculosis of the spine and full paralyzed in lower limbs for a month, as Dr. Hesham Al-Refay added that the emergency department was received patient was injured in a car accident , confirming that the two cases was recovered ,and praised the opening of the emergency department after the instructions of Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, the university president and supervision of Dr. Abd El Rahman Abd El Hamid, General Manger of the university hospitals.
