Prof. Ahmed Akawy, President of South Valley University, attended the closing ceremony of the 7th and 8th cycles of the Child University Program and the Colleges Phase, held under his patronage and that of Prof. Mohamed Said, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development. The program was organized in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), headed by Dr. Geena El-Feki.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Amr Abdelkader, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education; Prof. Mahmoud Abou El-Magd, Professor at the Faculty of Education and Coordinator of the Child University Program at the university; faculty members and department heads from various colleges; in addition to the participating children and their parents.
In his remarks, Prof. Akawy emphasized the university’s commitment to supporting early education and nurturing children’s scientific and creative skills. He praised the Child University initiative as a national project spearheaded by ASRT in the field of creative science education, aimed at identifying and fostering talented children at early stages of learning. He also extended his gratitude to the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology for adopting this initiative, to the deans of the participating faculties, and to Prof. Mahmoud Abou El-Magd and the program’s organizing team at the university.
