In cooperation with Al-Noor Association for the Blind in Qena, the university organized a celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disability that annually held on December 3 to focus on issues that affect people with disabilities worldwide. It was a part of Breakthrough towards Overcoming Disability Project. Prof. Abbas Mansour, President of the University, asserted the university support in empowering People with Disability and draw attention to the rights of them. Additionally, Dr. Mohammed Omran, Manager of Career Development Center, referred to the contribution of the center to appoint 183 disabled persons the in different companies and train 305 others in cooperation with Southern Military Region. Finally, there was a call to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
