Governor of Qena Gen. Abdel Hamid El Hagan and President of the University Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour have witnessed the celebration of Egyptian Women’s Day. Gen. Abdel Hamid El Hagan asserted the necessity of paying attention to women and participating them in various conferences and meetings that reflect women’s issues as standing against discrimination and supporting her in occupying Political, administrative and executive positions. He also added that Qena was the first government in appointing a large number of its women in leadership positions in and outside it. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour asserted to the university keenness in women’s issues through organizing Girl’s Day and other events that related to women referring to gender equality between students .At the end, the year of 2017 was allocated to be a year of Egyptian women to achieve their objectives.
