Prof. Ahmed Akawy, President of South Valley University, held a meeting to discuss the budget plan for the new fiscal year. The meeting was attended by Ms. Turob Talba, University Secretary-General; Mr. Abdel Razek Hussein, Assistant Secretary-General; Mr. Mahmoud Khalifa, Director General of Accounts and Budget; Mr. Mahmoud Basheer, Director General of Procurement; Mr. Mohamed Kamel, Director General of the Engineering Department; Ms. Nagdya Abdel Naim, Director General of the Strategic Management Department; Mr. Ali Amer, Director General of Legal Affairs; Mr. Bahaa Hays, Ministry of Finance Representative at the University; and Mr. Alaa Obeid from the University Hospital.
The University President reviewed the key academic, research, and community service activities provided by the university. He also discussed the university’s main needs for the 2025/2026 fiscal year in the fields of education and university hospitals, emphasizing the importance of securing adequate funding to ensure the sustainability, quality, and efficiency of services provided.
