Awareness Seminar on “The Dangers of Addiction and Drug Abuse” Held at South Valley University’s Faculty of Nursing


Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Akkawi, President of South Valley University, and the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Saeed, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at South Valley University organized an awareness seminar on the dangers of addiction and substance abuse.

 

The seminar was conducted as part of the cooperation protocol between South Valley University and the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Drug Abuse. It was attended by Dr. Gamal Abdel-Hamid, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing; Dr. Asmaa Maiz, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Mr. Mahmoud Yassin, representative of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Drug Abuse; and Mr. Mohamed Al-Kamil, Director of Environmental Projects at the university

 

This initiative aims to educate students about the serious health and social risks associated with drug addiction and abuse. It also highlights the importance of prevention and provides information about available support and rehabilitation programs. The seminar reflects the university’s commitment to fostering a safe and healthy environment for its students and the broader community.
