Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, congratulated Dr. Hussam Farag, Assistant Professor in the Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Arts, Qena, for receiving an honor from the Arab Union of Scientific Linguistic Academies, chaired by Dr. Hassan El-Shafie. Dr. Farag was recognized for his contribution to the editing of the Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language, a monumental linguistic project comprising 127 volumes.
Dr. Farag explained that the project is under the umbrella of the Arab Union of Scientific Linguistic Academies, in collaboration with the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, the Arabic Language Academy in Cairo, and other linguistic institutions across the Arab world.
The award ceremony was attended by members of the Arabic Language Academy in Cairo, university professors from Egypt and the Arab world, as well as researchers and students.
