An awareness symposium on the dangers of addiction at the Faculty of Commerce, South Valley University


       A symposium on the dangers of addiction was held at the Faculty of Commerce under the auspices of Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of the University, and Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Muhammad Al Kamel, Director of the Environmental Projects Administration, and Marwa Abdel Rady, representative of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction, attended the symposium.  The symposium explained the types of addiction, the stages that the addict goes through, the most important symptoms of addiction, and the health and social problems that accompany the addicted person. It also explained the awareness and training services provided by the university volunteerism, the active participation in community service convoys, environmental development, hotline services for addiction treatment, and treatment services provided by Al Azima Center for Addiction Treatment.
