Under the patronage of prof. Dr. Youssef Grabawy, president of the university and prof. Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary, vice president for community service and environmental development affairs, the university organized a workshop discussing a marketing campaign of the handicraft and heritage products in Qena Government.
The workshop was held in the career development centre, with the participation of representatives of the government, Ministry of Social Solidarity, The Egyptian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) and civil associations.
Dr. Grabawy affirmed that the state pays considerable attention in developing infrastructure projects, building the Egyptian citizen and developing his capacities and providing job opportunities through self-employment culture. The university does its best to provide technical support for various projects and provide its services to the community.
Dr. Nassary emphasized that the goal of the workshop includes three main areas: setting standards for the handicraft and heritage projects that befit the global marketing, creating industrial and craft clusters and creating new job opportunities supported from (MSMEDA).
Dr. Essam El-Din, dean of faculty of agriculture and a number of vice deans and teaching-staff from different faculties witnessed the activities.
