A symposium on the harms of addiction at the Faculty of Specific Education, South Valley University


Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Kamal, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Badria Hassan Ali, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Muhammad El-Sayed Kamel, Community Service and Environmental Development Administrator at the University, and Mahmoud Yassin, in charge of combating and treating addiction, a symposium was organized for students of the Faculty of Specific Education to raise awareness of harms of addiction on the individuals and on their community, where Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Dean of the Faculty, pointed out the importance of preserving the individual’s health, as it is one of the human resources that contribute to building society and the nation.

Dr. Badria Hassan also noted the need to raise young people’s awareness of all the contributions made by the State through its concern for young people in all spheres and to address the wars of the third and fourth generation that target them, as they are the basis for preserving the national identity and building the new republic.

Mahmoud Yassin also spoke of the importance of volunteer work to raise young people’s awareness of the damage of drugs, their destruction of the health and minds of young people, and he emphasized the State’s concern to care for drug patients and provide full care as well as confidentiality of treatment.
