A South Valley University student participates in the COP27 International Simulation Model


Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, announced that Bishoy Ishak, a student at the Faculty of Commerce, English Department at South Valley University, was selected to represent the university in the COP27 International Simulation Model; in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud Mohieldin, the Un high-level champion for climate change.

Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy added that the student attended the capacity building program from 11 to 22 September, with the participation of students from about 52 countries within the British University in Egypt, so as to enhance students’ knowledge of adaptation, reduce the effects of climate change, develop their capabilities in cooperation with all concerned parties and support national efforts in the field of climate change awareness. The student also attended the closing conference from 15 to 20 October, where the policies and solutions reached by the participating students were discussed and will be presented at the 2022 Climate Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh.
