Prof. Dr. Youssef Grabawy, president of the university met the delegation of the agricultural research centre which is visiting Faculty of Agriculture, in the presence of prof. Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary, vice president for Community service and environmental development affairs, Dr. Issam Al-Din, dean of faculty of agriculture and Dr. Adel Abdel Azim, agent of the agricultural research centre in Cairo.
Dr. Grabawy emphasized that the meeting addressed the aspects concerning joint cooperation between the university and the centre, the activities of the centre of introducing the farms with new varieties and cooperating with various institutions to develop the local product and benefiting from the experiences of professors of Faculty of Agriculture.
Dr. Issam announced that the cooperation comes under the national program for seed production of tomato and the joint research to breed new strains.
Dr. Ayman Mohamed Abdel-Nabi, head of the department of horticulture added that the delegation visited the faculty greenhouses to follow-up the strains and hybridization to breed high Quality strains.
